The PCFA resident mentoring program began in 2017, in response to resident interest -- first at NPI, and then at each of the UCLA psychiatry residency programs. The program is strictly elective for residents, and is designed to meet the level of intensity that residents prefer.

Any interested resident contacts the program coordinator (sarahmourramd@gmail.com), and completes a brief questionnaire used for optimizing matches with PCFA members. Mentors are asked to check in with residents monthly, but actually meeting (remotely or in person) is driven by resident interest. Mentoring focuses on both professional and personal interests, again with extensive resident input.

All interns are invited to participate in the program, but matches are available on a rolling basis to any interested resident. .
